International Women’s Day 2021 with Freedom and Fashion

In honor of International Women’s Day this coming Monday, March 8th, we are featuring an amazing woman who we had the honor of being introduced to through our non-profit partner, Freedom and Fashion. If you aren’t already familiar, Freedom and Fashion is a non-profit that uses the arts of fashion and beauty to empower women who are overcoming sex trafficking, domestic violence, and other injustices.

Allow us to introduce, Lyresh, a survivor, business owner, and mentor. Freedom and Fashion served Lyresh for years as she herself is an incredibly brave survivor of sex trafficking. She has now returned to Freedom and Fashion to serve the younger girls that are seeking help and healing. In addition to her mentorship, Lyresh is a hair stylist who recently opened her own studio space. We chose to feature her story because Freedom and Fashion is hosting  a fundraiser to help pay for her first few months of rent and help in purchasing tools that she needs for her salon. Lyresh is a full circle success story at Freedom and Fashion and we are so thrilled to help share her story this International Women’s Day. Freedom and Fashion will be hosting a Q+A with influencers on Instagram on Monday, March 8th to help raise awareness and funds for women and children in need.
