Britt Stewart — our dancing queen — is no stranger to the spotlight. We caught up with Britt to ask her some questions on her career, life in the entertainment industry, some of the favorite brands she has worked with, and more!
Tell us about yourself: Hey Be Social Fam! A little bit about me……. Dance has been part of my life since I was three years old and has provided the most amazing experiences and opportunities. I am grateful that my passion has turned into my career and has taken me all over the world and places that I could have never imagined for myself like a three-year-old first putting on my ballet and tap shoes. As a dancer, you might know me from all three of the High School Musical movies, which started my career, and now a Pro on Dancing With The Stars! I’ve also been so fortunate to have worked in other films, television, and recording artists like Katy Perry, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, and Rihanna. I am very involved in the dance community as a choreographer, educator, and President of a nonprofit organization, Share The Movement, dedicated to increasing diversity in the dance industry. Dance has defined a lot in my life, but there is so much more to me! I am an introvert who has learned extroverted ways so I can navigate and thrive in the entertainment industry. If I’m not nourishing and treating my foodie belly, out in nature, or doing yoga, you can most likely find me meditating with my crystals, journal, and palo santo. Health and wellness is a huge aspect of my life ever since I was diagnosed with a rare condition called physical hives at the age of 20. In life, I celebrate authenticity, self-love, and balance. I strive to authentically bring all aspects of me to the digital space and spread as much love, light, and inspiration as I can!

Anything exciting you have in the works? I feel like I always have something in the works! I am not one to sit still for too long. I’m still waiting to hear about the next season of Dancing With The Stars. I’m hoping to be back in the ballroom for my second season as a Pro! Fingers crossed! In the meantime, I’ve been very busy in the dance world. Teaching and choreographing throughout the country. I just wrapped up an amazing project that I started back in March. I had the amazing opportunity to be Octavia Spencer’s dance instructor on a new original musical with Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds premiering in 2022! Outside of dance I’m continuously building my brand and sharing it across my digital platforms. Also, taking on the responsibilities of being President of a recently launched nonprofit organization has kept me very busy!
Tell me about your nonprofit, Share The Movement: I am so proud of Share The Movement! After a year of zoom meetings during the pandemic, STM was launched in April 2021. Myself and an amazing group of individuals that makes up our board are dedicated to our organization and our mission to increase diversity in the dance industry by offering financial, educational, and inspirational support to young BIPOC dancers. (Black Indigenous and People of Color). As part of our summer initiatives, we provided scholarships to 18 young dancers to their preferred summer programs. Looking ahead we are thrilled to be launching our full program in the fall in hopes to walk alongside aspiring dancers on their journeys towards a professional career.
