MEET TEAM BSG: Jess Yoo

First and foremost, tell us a bit about you!

Hi I’m Jess! I truly thrive from being in the sun (ALWAYS with sunscreen on of course), good restaurants, and martinis – probably why I’ve lived in SoCal all my life. 

Nothing makes me happier than waking up on Sundays to watch Ina Garten make a roast chicken on Food Network. Or Guy Fieri making nachos in a trash can. Both are iconic. 

I’ve also made it my personality trait to create itineraries/suggestion lists for friends, so if you need recs come on over! 

How long have you been at BSG?

I started at Be Social on the Brand team doing PR for 2 years, then left to go in-house for Harry Winston. Now I’m BACK at Be Sosh on the Talent team 🙂 

What do you do in your role?

I’m on the Talent team and work alongside Ali + our incredibly talented roster of clients. Our goal is to create a holistic vision of our clients’ brand identities across digital and social. 

What’s the best part about BSG?

It’s honestly such a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages growth and new ideas. Sometimes in this line of work, it’s hard to find the right fit and happy I’m here at BSG! 

Favorite LA spots?

Sunset Tower for martinis, shrimp cocktails, and ice cream sundaes (yes in that order). Matsuhisa if your date is paying and Sushi Fumi for Nobu quality but Sugarfish prices. Dan Tana’s/Olivetta for fun group dinners. Il Pastaio/Spago for a leisurely weekend lunch. Kings Road Cafe has the best coffee in LA for $4 I promise. LASTLY: American Rag has the best-curated selection of men’s/women’s clothing. 

If you could have anyone at a dinner party dead or alive, who would it be?

Guy Fieri because I feel like he’d be the one at the party encouraging people to do shots out of bone marrow or like keg stands. Kristen Wiig because she complimented my outfit one time and I will never forget that. Lastly, the queen Martha Stewart and her plus one would be Snoop Dogg. 

Lastly, what’s a quote you live by?

“Comparison is the thief of joy.” Unsure of where it originated from but it’s either from Theodore Roosevelt or Tinx, TikTok extraordinaire lol…. which explains my personality to a T.
